2019 NCCBA Voting

2019 Voting is open!

If you are a student still wanting to vote for your favorite, go see your teacher or librarian to cast your vote!

During the month of March, teachers and librarians should gather their students' votes for their favorite picture book and junior book from the list of 2018-19 North Carolina Children's Book Award nominees.

Only teachers and librarians should complete the vote tally survey (link is below) when they have gathered all of the votes for their school or library and found a total number of votes for each title. Please submit the totals for your school or library only once.  Votes will be collected through Friday, April 5.

If you have questions or are unable to submit your votes through the Google survey, please email your totals for each title to Lisa England at lengland@wsfcs.k12.nc.us

Record your total votes here!

2019 Voting deadline extended

Voting deadline extended!
Due to early inclement weather across our state, the NCCBA voting deadline will be extended to Friday, April 5th. Remember there is no longer a requirement for schools or libraries to register to participate. Once you have gathered votes for all titles, the totals may be entered easily here on our website starting March 1 and closing at the end of the day on April 5.

Nominations for 2020 awards still accepted!
We are still accepting kid's nominations for their favorite picture and junior books published from 2016, 2017, 2018, or 2019.  Librarians and teachers are welcome to help their kids submit nominations through March 31.  Just a reminder that all titles should be suggestions from kids!

Thanks for participating!

Start nominating books for the 2019-2020 awards!

It's time to start nominating your favorite picture books and junior books for the 2019-2020 North Carolina Children's Book Awards.  Nominations are generated by the children of North Carolina.  Teachers and librarians may help children enter their nominations or do it for them, but no teacher or librarian should enter their own favorites.  That's what makes this award so special - the books are nominated by kids and then voted on by kids to get to the top two books of the year!  Click on the following link or go to the "Nominate" page on the bar above or in the panel to the left.
