Start nominating your favorites for the 2022 NCCBA awards.

It's time to start nominating picture books and junior books for the 2021-2022 North Carolina Children's Book Awards!  Nominations are generated by the children of North Carolina.  Teachers and librarians may help children enter their nominations or do it for them, but no teacher or librarian should enter their own favorites.  That's what makes this award so special - the books are nominated by kids and then voted on by kids to get to the top two books of the year!  Click on "nominate a book" to get started.

 NOMINATE A BOOK

Kids may nominate more than one favorite.  Nominations will be accepted until April 16, 2021.

2021 Activity Booklet ready!

The Activity Booklet for the 2021 North Carolina Children's Book Award is ready!  The link for one document with the activities for all of the 2021 award nominee is below.

2021 NCCBA Activity Booklet

To help you find the activities for each book a little easier, there are also pages* for the picture book and junior book nominees with read-alouds/book trailers and the activities for each book in their own document.  We hope this makes it easier for everyone to have fun with the 20 great kid-nominated titles this year!

*Unfortunately, blogger is having technical issues so we can't make them visible (yet!)  In the meantime, we'll put the information in posts (since that still seems to work!)
