The North Carolina Children's Book Award program is a children's choice program designed to introduce children to current children's literature and to instill a love of reading. The award is sponsored by the North Carolina Library Association's Youth Services Section and supported by school and public librarians across the state.
2019 Voting is open!
If you are a student still wanting to vote for your favorite, go see your teacher or librarian to cast your vote!
During the month of March, teachers and librarians should gather their students' votes for their favorite picture book and junior book from the list of 2018-19 North Carolina Children's Book Award nominees.
Only teachers and librarians should complete the vote tally survey (link is below) when they have gathered all of the votes for their school or library and found a total number of votes for each title. Please submit the totals for your school or library only once. Votes will be collected through Friday, April 5.
If you have questions or are unable to submit your votes through the Google survey, please email your totals for each title to Lisa England at lengland@wsfcs.k12.nc.us
Record your total votes here!
